Officials in China debuted the new state-developed maglev train on Tuesday, Reuters reported.
The train can reach speeds of up to 600 km/h or 373 mph, officials said.
There is just one operational maglev track in China, but cities are considering building more.

Chinese officials in the coastal city of Qingdao Tuesday unveiled its new maglev train, which can travel at speeds of up to 600 km/h or 373 mph.

The train was developed by the state-owned China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation. It's considered the world's fastest train and ground vehicle.

The average high-speed train in China travels at a speed up to 300 km/h or 217 mph, making this train more than 100 mph faster, per CNN.
