Most of us know by now that some popular breakfast staples, such as cereals, have a surprisingly high sugar content, and that we should avoid eating overly processed foods.

Yet just last week Cancer Research said that millennials are set to be the fattest generation on record. According to current estimates, it claims that more than seven in 10 of those born between the early 80s and mid 90s are set to be overweight or obese between the ages of 35-44.

When your recommended daily intake of things like fat, sugar, and salt are laid out in front of your eyes, it can put things into perspective.

Retailer Wren Kitchens has taken the recommended daily intake (RDI) of fat, sugar, and salt for the average adult and calculated what this looks like in terms of portions of popular everyday items.
