Finding a good place to eat at Noida isn’t tough. There are tonnes of good joints that offer great food at everyone’s budget. However, going out to eat comes with a lot of conditions. You need a good ambience, quick service and of course the food quality. Well these are the basic needs of people willing to dine out. What is tough in Noida to find is a place with all these features altogether.

Welcome to The Ancient Barbeque at sector 63 in Noida. The neighbourhood bustling with offices, we recommend you to reserve your table through Dine Out to make sure you don’t wait outside for too long.

We visited this place on a mid week afternoon at a really odd time at 3pm. And trust me; it was a full house even then.

Ambience

The interior of the place is decked up with huge maps that look like those found from shipwrecked sailors. And there enters the ‘ancient’ component. The sailors unable to find anything would rely completely on barbequed stuff that they would grill on a traditional fire and wood.

As we comforted ourselves with some signature mocktails , the barbeque oven is set on the table.

Spread

The arrangement of buffet is much similar to other places offering barbeque buffets. We started the gastronomic journey with Methi Murg Tikka, Fish in Hunan, Taipei Fish, Awadhi Mutton Seekh, and Lemon Garlic Prawns. While the cooperative staff kept on repeating our favourite Taipei fish and shrimps, Fish in Hunan was the best among all. Sipping the cola in between, we were almost full, when the waiter reminded us of the delicious buffet awaiting us in the main course as well.

For buffet, we tried some delicious Hyderabad styled biryani, which has fried onions and boneless chicken. The mutton bemisal and Moge Wala Kukkad were a great combination. Sautéed fish in Szechuan sauce tasted so authentic. You would never expect a buffet restaurant to offer this kind of authenticity.

The great gastronomic journey ended with some good chocolate brownie and shahi tukda.
