A small group of white nationalists led by Richard Spencer marched through the University of Virginia campus in Charlottesville on Saturday evening, local media outlets reported.

The group, carrying the same tiki torches they held in the now-infamous August rally, chanted "you will not replace us" and "we will be back" in front of the Robert E. Lee statue that the city plans to remove.

The rally lasted just 20 minutes, CBS affiliate WTVR reported.

"It was a planned flash mob," Spencer told The Washington Post, calling the event a "great success" and adding that the rally had been planned for a long time. "We wanted to prove that we came in peace in May, we came in peace in August, and we come again in peace."

He continued: "Our identity matters. We are not going to stand by and allow people to tear down these symbols of our history and our people - and we're going to do this again."

The rally comes nearly two months after the "Unite the Right" rally, which drew scores of white nationalists, white supremacists, and neo-Nazis, as well as counter-protesters. The event turned deadly when a driver plowed into a crowd of pedestrians, killing 32-year-old Heather Heyer.
