Petrol, diesel sales go up post demonetisation as people rushed to tank up fuel with old notes

The sales of fuel shot up by 10% in November as the fuel stations were accepting demonetised notes.
As per reports, Indian Oil Corp, Bharat Petroleum and
People lined up mainly for petrol as its consumption has increased.
The average every day sales of diesel from November 9-December 7 was 225,000 kilo litres, 11.4% more than in November 2015 and 7.6% higher than in October this year. The growth in diesel consumption between April and October was just 3%.
