A 'Guardians of the Galaxy' character will look a lot wackier in the sequel
Marvel
Yondu, the blue alien played by Michael Rooker who lead the Ravagers, and who controlled a deadly weapon with a whistle, is going to be sporting a massive metallic mohawk in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," Marvel revealed on Instagram earlier this week. This actually makes him look closer to what he was described as in the comic.
Fans at Comic-Con noted that Yondu was sporting a new 'do, but this is the general public's first official peek of the changed design.
It's a bit over-the-top, but delightfully so, especially now that audiences are already used to the world (or rather, worlds) of "Guardians of the Galaxy."
The mohawk is a cybernetic implant that allows him to control his arrow. While it was present in the first film, it was pretty small. In the comics it's huge - much bigger than it's going to be in the sequel, even.
