In a rare feat, a boy named Anagh Agarwal from Mumbai has scored a perfect 100 in both SAT and ACT exams - standardised examinations for admission to US premier colleges.
This makes him the first Indian to score a 100 per cent inSAT exams .
Notably, good score in either SAT or ACT makes the journey to secure admission to theIvy League institute easier. Unlike Agarwal, most students take either of the exams. Agarwal, however, scored 1600/1600 in the new pattern of SAT and 36/36 in ACT.
For this 16-year-old student of Dhirubhai Ambani International School, however, his aim to get into Harvard University to pursue a major in economics doesn't seem too far now.
"I took it up as a personal challenge. I had always wanted to appear for SAT, and I started preparation about five months ago. To appear for ACT was a last-minute decision," said Agarwal, adding that his reading habit helped him in his preparation.
He says he wants to get into investment banking for a short period in the US after completing studies. He adds - "Then I intend to return to India and join politics and become the finance minister someday."
