RIL June quarter profit jumps 18% to Rs 7,113 crore

Reliance Industries posted 19.5 per cent year-on-year (YoY) jump in standalone net profit at Rs 7,548 crore for the quarter ended June 30. It had recorded net profit of Rs 6,318 crore for the same quarter a year ago.
Consolidated net profit for the three months ended 30 June came in at Rs 7,113 crore, compared with Rs 6,024 crore a year ago. Consolidated revenue, however, fell 13.13% to Rs.71,451 crore as against Rs.82,509 crore a year earlier.
Ahead of the results, theRIL stock closed 0.6 per cent higher at Rs 1,012.55 on the BSE. It hit a low of Rs 1,003.85 and a high of Rs 1,020.65 in Friday's trade.
RIL's gross refining margin (GRM) stood at $11.5 a barrel in the quarter under review compared with $10.4 a barrel reported for the year-ago period.
