1. Facebook's stock leapt after a Q4 earnings beat. It had revenues of $5.84 billion (£4.1 billion) versus analyst expectations of $5.37 billion (£3.77 billion), and 1.59 billion monthly active users.
2. Medical startup Theranos is putting people's health at risk, the US government says. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services found that the company had violated five regulations, including one instance where "the deficient practices of the laboratory pose immediate jeopardy to patient health and safety."
