Indian e-commerce giants may be bleeding cash, but the space witnessed its highest-ever funding in 2015 with $11.3B being invested across a whopping 415 funding rounds. It seems most industry experts believe it’s still too early to draw a conclusion on India’s e-commerce potential. In the last 15 months, IDGVC Partners led the investment rounds with 17, followed by Tiger Global Management with 12 investments and Accel Partners with 10 investments.

Back in 2014, investors around the world fed $5 billion into Indian e-commerce. The list included leading venture capitalists like Tiger Global, SoftBank, Accel Partners, and BlackRock.
