2 vehicles have crashed into each other at Heathrow Airport in a 'serious accident' on the airfield

Two vehicles crashed into each other London's Heathrow Airport this morning in what officials are describing as a "serious accident."

The airport, Europe's biggest, was trying to minimize disruption to passengers, it said.

In a statement to Business Insider, a Heathrow spokesman said: "We are dealing with a serious accident involving two vehicles on the airfield.

"We are working closely with the emergency services and updates will follow. The airfield remains open and we will work to minimise disruption to our passengers' journeys.
