You've probably heard of (or used) Uber, a network and app that connects riders with nearby drivers - but there's a good chance you don't know much about what goes on behind the scenes at the $66 billion San Francisco-based company.
To find out, Business Insider recently visited Uber's Manhattan office, which employs about 230 people (not including drivers, who are contractors).
