The military-inspired look will always stay. Designers, digital influencers and street-style stars always find a way to channel the print by going all out or sneaking it up in the tiny details of the outfit. Camouflage print or olive and khaki colours can be easily incorporated in the wardrobe by opting for basics such as a t-shirt or printed trousers. Combining a t-shirt with your formal suit might seem like an over the edge experiment, but it looks stylish nevertheless.
2. It's never too late for stripes:
Although stripes have always been a basic in a man’s wardrobe, it’s given a fresh twist each season to keep up with the millennial era of constant change. This season, stripes with varying widths in bold colours have been doing the rounds on the runways. In case you prefer a subtle version, try a pinstripe longline t-shirt (also a rage this season) in monochrome. Wear it with a pair of trousers and a smart hat to look polished.
3. Double the denim
Denim on denim has been a perpetual trend since 1990s. You can elevate the whole outfit by adding extra elements, such as badges or contrast buttons on the shirt placket. To get the perfect mix, opt for shades and washes of the denim that are complementary to each other. Balance the blues (literally) with a pair of white sneakers or a pop-coloured watch.
4. Olive Green, your go-to colour this season:
With military influencing the runways globally, we must consider it’s favourite colour palette - olive green. For a safe option, invest in a single olive item like a shirt or a t-shirt that can be paired with most separates. The gentlemen, who have a preference for standing out in the crowd, can try a coordinated look in shades of olive completed with neutral accents of black or tan.
5. Athleisure for comfort:
Sportswear has influenced our wardrobe options for longer than we would like to remember. Joggers paired with white sneakers are your go-to look for daily wear. Layer it up with a bomber-jacket to bring it all together.
6. High-time to own pink
Pink has been a definite no-no for menswear till now. With the new wave of embracing all our differences (and trends maybe), the shade doesn’t necessarily have to be candy coloured. You can experiment with a multitude of prints, textures and tones of pink. Pastel shirts, muted pink sneakers or a rose-gold watch are a few easy and not-so-obvious options for the modern man.
