Amitabh Bachchan's Twitter handle hacked
The actor also has a special name for his social family; he lovingly calls his fans and followers as EF, which means extended family. His Twitter handle is surely a happy place, where he can be seen interacting with his EF and retweeting their love and appreciation messages.
However, the actor got to see the bad side of the cyber world today, as his Twitter account was allegedly hacked by a yet to be identified user. The actor, who is followed by 16.6 million people worldwide and himself follows 984 accounts as of yet, found some 'sex sites' being followed by his account. This was when he realized that his account had been hacked.
The actor, who is very conscious and protective about his social image after being in the limelight since decades, decided to clarify this in a tweet that read,
T 1980 -WHOA !..My Twitter handle hacked ! Sex sites planted as 'following' ! Whoever did this, try someone else, buddy, I don't need this !
— Amitabh Bachchan (@SrBachchan) August 31, 2015
The sex sites have since been unfollowed, and we hope that the hackers learn their lesson from this 'humble' appeal.
UPDATE: Mr. Bachchan went on to say that the plot of this hacking has thickened. Apparently, someone was sending him abusive messages since around a year, and he has now submitted them to the police.
Here is what he had to say:
T 1980 - OKAAY .. !! Plot thickens ! Had been getting several really dirty abusive sms for a year .. just handed all of them to the POLICE !
