Notes: Former Salesforce exec Wootton joined Rocket Fuel in 2015 as its chief revenue officer and was quickly promoted to the CEO position in November of the same year.
In 2015, Rocket Fuel increased non-GAAP net revenue by 16% year-on-year to $272.5 million. The company's net losses widened from $64.3 million in 2014 to $210.5 million as the company took in restructuring and impairment charges.
10. Monte Zweben, former executive chairman at Rocket Fuel

Notes: Zweben joined Rocket Fuel in the role of interim CEO in March 2015 and served in that role until November of the same year.
He went on to become chairman and stayed in that role for six months before leaving to become the CEO of technology company Splice Machine.
9. Jayant Kadambi, chief executive officer at Yume

Notes: In April, Yume's largest shareholder, VIEX Opportunities Fund LP, filed a definitivie proxy statement with the SEC and sent a letter to Yume stockholders as it looks like elect two new members to the board.
VIEX complained that Kadambi has been paid almost $5 million since its IPO in August 2013, but meanwhile the company has suffered "approximately $20.1 million in cumulative losses."

Notes: Marin Software makes cloud-based tools to help marketers manage online ad campaigns. His pay was down on the $5.8 million he earned last year.
In 2015, Martin Software increased revenue by 9% to $108.5 million. The company reported a net loss of $33.3 million, compared to a net loss of $33.2 million in 2014.

N0tes: Niccoli is a Criteo cofounder. Last year, he was the only CTO in our rankings.
6. Brett Wilson, chief executive officer at TubeMogul
Compensation: $2,010,669
Notes: Wilson's compensation was down on the $8.4 million he earned in 2014, which was largely due to $7.9 million in option awards.
TubeMogul increased revenue by 58% year-on-year to $180.7 million in 2015. However, the company's net losses increased from $4.4 million in 2014 to $13.7 million in 2015.
5. Todd Tappin, chief operating officer and chief financial officer at Rubicon Project

Notes: Tappin joined The Rubicon Project in 2013 and is responsible for all the administrative operations there. His compensation in 2015 was down on the $6 million he received the previous year.
4. Eric Eichmann, CEO at Criteo

Notes: Eichmann became Criteo CEO on January 1, 2016. Prior to that he served as chief operating officer and president.
In the first quarter of 2016, Criteo reported a 37% lift in revenue ex-TAC (traffic acquisition costs) and a 36% increase in net income to $19 million.
3. Gregory Raifman, president at The Rubicon Project

Notes: Raifman has been a president and member of the board of directors since joining The Rubicon Project in January 2013.
He also serves on the board of directors at the Mobile Marketing Association and is a foundation board member of Advertising Women of New York, which promotes gender parity in the ad industry.
2. Jean-Baptiste Rudelle, executive chairman at Criteo

Notes: Rudelle was Criteo's chief executive up until January 1, 2016, when he became the company's executive chairman. His 2015 compensation was down on the $5.6 million he earned the prior year.
Criteo crossed the €1 billion revenue mark in 2015 (€1,193,414/$1,372,473,) having increased revenue by 60.2% year-on-year. The company reported net income of €56.8 million, up 60.5% on the prior year.
1. Frank Addante, CEO at Rubicon Project
Compensation: $5,119,575
Notes: Addante topped our ad tech rich list last year, with compensation of just over $11 million, thanks to a huge $9.9 million stock award. At the time, the compensation committee considered that he had not received any equity awards since founding the company in 2007 and his total compensation package was below that of other CEOs at rival companies.
This year, he received $3.1 million in stock awards and $675,000 in option awards.
Rubicon Project reported a 81% lift in non-GAAP net revenue to $227.3 million in 2015. The company also reversed an $18.6 million net loss the prior year to $422 in net income for the full-year 2015.
