Astronaut Tim Peake posted a time-lapse video of lightning storms, which was filmed by the International Space Station that flew over North Africa and Turkey towards Russia.
Peake posted the video on Facebook and wrote, “Amazing how much lightning can strike our planet in a short time. Flying from North Africa over Turkey towards Russia in this time lapse (this is speeded up; travelling about 5500km would take around 10-12 minutes, covered here in 30 seconds)."
