Airtel CMO Govind Rajan would be the new Chief Strategy Officer for Jasper Infotech (which owns Snapdeal), the company announced today.

This comes to light after the company appointed another Airtel executive Anand Chandrasekaran as its Chief Product Officer in its most high-profile appointments as of now. Rajan’s appointment will be effective from August later this year.

Before this, Rajan served as Bharti Airtel’s Chief Marketing Officer and shouldered responsibility for the company’s revenue and market share growth, customer life cycle management, and building marketing capability across the organization.
The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) alum has also spent around 15 years with Hindustan Unilever.

Most recently, Snapdeal announced that it would appoint Amit Choudhary from Procter & Gamble as senior VP Finance. In his previous job, Choudhary leaded P&G's Asia pet care business across 14 countries.
