LG's next major smartphone, presumably called the G4, will probably launch at the end of this month after the company's press event on April 28.

Although we're still a few weeks away from seeing the actual phone, several leaks have shown us what the phone may look like and offered details about what to expect.

The biggest leak came just two days ago when a phone called the LG G4 appeared on a popular benchmarking platform GFXBench - an app that tests the graphics performance and power consumption of a phone. Blog Android Authority spotted screenshots from GFXBench that showed the phone's test results.

The GFXBench app also listed all of the specifications for LG's phone, and it looks like it will be in direct competition with Samsung's new Galaxy S6.

Specifically, the LG will come with a 5.5-inch screen with the same 2560 x 1440 resolution as the older G3, a 15-megapixel main camera, a 7-megapixel front camera, a Snapdragon 808 processor, and 3GB of memory. The competitor from Samsung has a smaller screen with the same resolution, a 16-megapixel main camera, and a 5-megapixel front camera.

We also have a decent idea of what LG's new phone will look like, and it doesn't seem to be much different than the G3. Phone accessory maker Verus posted an image of what claims to be the LG G4 in one of its cases (pictured above), which looks similar to a separate leak that showed a press render of the phone in the beginning of March. Blog GSMArena spotted the leak.

The power and volume buttons are visible on the back of the phone - a design element that LG introduced with its G2 and has been implementing on its bigger phones ever since.

The LG G3 was a great Android phone with an impressive screen, but LG will have to do a lot better this time around to compete with Samsung's Galaxy S6. Samsung improved on many of the things critics have complained about in the past regarding its Galaxy phones: the design is much better, the camera takes clearer and sharper photos, and the software is easier to use.

My biggest complaint about the G3 was that it's battery didn't last nearly as long as it should have, so we'll have to wait and see if LG's next flagship surpasses its last.
