Amidst slugfest, Reliance Jio sends love to Airtel, Idea and Voda this Valentine's day

The war of the telcos has taken a unexpected twist this valentine’s day. Today being the V- Day, Mukesh Ambani owned Reliance Jio just wished it's competition and incumbents Airtel, Vodafone and Idea a very happy Valentine's day! Now it is surprising to get a V-Day wish between the telcos particularly because they are neck deep in a war of words from the time Jio launched its services.

Currently telcos are battling it out in the competition commission of India, telecom tribunal and of course the market place. From the recent media statements the telecom operators have made against each other it is certain that the slugfest is far from over for them. So amidst all this mudslinging, customer poaching, courtroom drama, this love message from Jio could very well be a sarcastic one as Jio has at multiple times accused the telcos particularly Airtel of stifling Jio’s entry in the telecom market.

The telcos are at the peak of their fight as of now and we’ll just have to wait and watch how the incumbents react to so much love coming their way from Jio.
