Apple Will Give Away One Free Item From The iTunes Store A Day Later This Month

App StoreFor the first time, Apple has launched its "12 Days of Gifts" campaign in the U.S.

Here's how it works. You download the 12 Days of Gifts app from Apple. From December 26 to January 6, Apple will give away a paid app, book, video, or song for free each day.

Before this year, customers living in Europe and Canada were the only ones eligible to access the promotion, according to CNET.

The catch is that the gift must be claimed within 24 hours before it is replaced, so users have to check the app every day.
