Business Insider is hiring a lifestyle editor
This editor must have familiarity with and big ideas on a wide range of lifestyle subjects including travel, food, health, fashion, beauty, home/interiors, and gadgets.
Responsibilities will include managing lifestyle and travel reporters, assigning and editing lifestyle stories in a fast-paced digital environment, and writing and editing scripts for video.
We're looking for an excellent writer and editor who is smart, organized, and creative. This person should be on top of the newest lifestyle trends and be comfortable pitching and assigning big story ideas. The ideal candidate will also be able to create and package stories in exciting way and work at a fast pace.
For this editor position we are looking for someone with several years of management experience in online journalism. Copy-editing skills, light HTML knowledge, and a familiarity with Photoshop are also assets. Demonstrated presence on social media and experience working with video a plus.
