Cottonseed oil cake futures climb on fresh bets

New Delhi, Feb 12 () Cottonseed oil cake prices on Wednesday traded up by Rs 25 to Rs 1,796 per quintal in futures trade after speculators created fresh positions on spot demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for delivery in February traded higher by Rs 25, or 1.41 per cent, at Rs 1,796 per quintal with an open interest of 25,640 lots.

Likewise for delivery in March, cottonseed oil cake traded higher by Rs 20, or 1.11 per cent, at Rs 1,817 per quintal with an open interest of 76,210 lots.

Marketmen said raising of positions by participants amid a rising demand from cattle-feed makers mainly influenced cottonseed oil cake prices here. VHP RUJRUJ
