Cottonseed oil cake futures up on spot demand

New Delhi, Feb 7 () Cottonseed oil cake prices on Friday were trading up by Rs 19 to Rs 1,840 per quintal in futures trade after speculators created fresh positions on spot demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for delivery in February traded higher by Rs 19, or 1.04 per cent, at Rs 1,840 per quintal with an open interest of 37,560 lots.

Likewise for delivery in March, cottonseed oil cake was trading higher by Rs 23, or 1.25 per cent, at Rs 1,860 per quintal with an open interest of 70,290 lots.

Marketmen said raising of positions by participants amid a rising demand from cattle-feed makers mainly influenced cottonseed oil cake prices here. VHP SHWSHW
