Gold futures slip on weak global cues

New Delhi, Feb 12 () Gold prices on Wednesday fell by Rs 60 to Rs 40,350 per 10 gram in futures trade as participants cut down their positions tracking weak trend overseas.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold prices for April delivery fell by Rs 60, or 0.15 per cent, to Rs 40,350 per 10 gram in a business turnover of 1,284 lots.

The yellow metal for June delivery declined by Rs 68, or 0.17 per cent, to Rs 40,510 per 10 gram in 110 lots.

Analysts said subdued overseas cues influenced sentiments here.

Globally, gold was trading 0.12 per cent lower at USD 1,568.20 per ounce in New York. VHP RUJRUJ
