Refined soya oil futures slide on low demand

New Delhi, Feb 28 () Refined soya oil prices on Friday fell by Rs 12.4 to Rs 767.8 per 10 kg in futures trade as speculators reduced holdings amid subdued demand at spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in March declined by Rs 12.4, or 1.59 per cent, to Rs 767.8 per 10 kg in 38,100 lots.

The refined soya oil contracts for April dropped by Rs 13.6, or 1.75 per cent, to Rs 764.6 per 10 kg in 19,900 lots.

Market analysts said cutting down of positions by participants against ample stocks mainly influenced refined soya oil prices. VHP SHWSHW
