Occupation: Chairman and CEO, PepsiCo. Born and brought up in Chennai suburb, Indra Krishnamurthy Nooyi passed her graduation from Madras Christian College in 1974. She joined IIM Calcutta for a Post Graduate Diploma and started her carrier here in India at Johnson & Johnson. In 1978, she got admission at Yale University to study ‘public & private management’. Few days ago, she received a whooping financial jump settling her salary to $18.6 million for the year 2013. She has been ranked at 10th spot in Forbes 2013 list of the 100 most powerful women’s on earth. She simply attributes all her success to her mother and Indian upbringing. Amish Tripathi
Occupation: Novelist (author of the Shiva Trilogy). Amish has written three books in series under different titles, comprising Shiva Trilogy. His first book has become the fastest selling book in the Indian publishing history. Amish joined IIM Calcutta after graduating from St. Xavier College, Mumbai. Tripathi has a twin brother who joined Melbourne University after failing to crack CAT exam. He has an experience of over 14 years in financial industry. Ramachandra Guha
Occupation: Noted Historian and Author.
Titled as ‘The Ecumenical Marxist’, Ramachandra Guha was born in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Guha joined IIM Kolkata as a PG student in Sociology. He found his teacher Anjan Ghosh as a real mentor in IIM-C campus. Guha studied theories of different writers such as Karl Marx, Max Weber and Emile Durkheim. Nowadays, you can find Guha’s articles featured in National and International magazines/newspapers. Accolades: Sahitya Akademi Award for his book ‘India after Gandhi’-2011.

A Kerala born entrepreneur, Balakrishnan currently lives in Mumbai. He is the founder of a famous Internet company based in India known as Rediff.com. Ajit passed his graduation from University of Kerala and MBA degree from Calcutta. He co-founded a company named as Rediffusion at age of early 22 and surprised the market with Rediff.com in 1995. Accolades: Chairman of the Board of Governors at IIM-C.

Venkatesh Shankar
Occupation: American Marketing Professor. Venkatesh received his bachelors from IIT Kharagpur in 1984 and immediately joined IIM-C for doing post graduation. After earning MBA, Shankar moved to US and received a Ph.D. in Marketing from Northwestern University. Shankar has worked with many of the Fortune 500 companies as a consultant. He regularly writes in various academic and business periodicals. Accolades: Winner of IIM-C Distinguished Alumnus Award-2013.
