This record would stand for nearly three years, until 30 October 2013, when the Sensex closed at 21,033.97 points.3. In 2013, Sensex rose to all-time high and beat the 2008 record. It smashed earlier record of 21,206 which was set in January 2008.4. On March 13, 2014, the Sensex closed higher than the Hang Seng Index, to become the major Asian stock market index with the highest value, for the first time ever.5. In 2015, the Sensex crossed 30, 000 mark following the then monetary policy announced by the Reserve Bank of India, which had cut the repo rates.
