The Indian government announced a string of new announcements today in the backdrop of demonetisation. Economic Affairs Secretary Shantikanta Das said the limit to exchange old currency notes to new banknotes will be reduced from Rs 4,500 to Rs 2,000 from November 18.
To make things easy for farmers, they can now withdraw Rs 25,000 a week against loans sanctioned.
