'This is Us' is ending after 6 seasons

Hit NBC drama "This is Us" will end after its sixth season in 2022, the Hollywood Reporter revealed on Wednesday.

The show stars Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia and Sterling K. Brown. It's expected the series' final season will include 18 episodes.

The popular and award-winning series - which follows the Pearson family through the decades - is currently in its fifth season.

"This is Us" creator Dan Fogelman had previously indicated that the series would finish after the sixth season, but NBC executives had hoped to stretch the hit series out longer, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
