Meet the fabulously wealthy residents of Miami's 'billionaire bunker'

This is Indian Creek Island. At .4 square miles, it's one of the smallest, wealthiest, and most exclusive communities in the US. We'll start our tour at the top left corner, and go counterclockwise.

The first home on the island belongs to Norman Braman, a car dealership tycoon. He bought the 8-bedroom house for $3.9 million in 1991. We're fans of all the outdoor sculptures.

An unnamed Russian buyer bought the home next door in August 2012 for $47 million, making it the most expensive home ever sold in Miami at the time. Here it is while under construction (and a listing photo, inset).

Latin star Julio Iglesias' property comes next. He demolished his original mansion after failing to sell it in 2008, and reportedly paid $15.2 million for the house next door in 2012.

In 2014, steel magnate Leroy Schecter sold his mansion with a palm-lined driveway to an undisclosed buyer for $28 million, a significant discount from its initial $45 million listing price.

Hedge funder Eddie Lampert spent $38.4 million on this property in March 2012. The 7-bedroom, Italian-style mansion measures 17,000-square-feet and sits on 2.7 acres.

Lampert's place is right next door to the notoriously exclusive Indian Creek Country Club. The 18-hole course takes up the entire interior of the island.

The home owned by South Florida development firm Taubco CEO Irwin Tauber is absolutely massive, at 24,716 square feet. It has 8 bedrooms and a tennis court, and the Taubers paid $7 million for it in 2003, according to The Miami Herald.

Legendary former Miami Dolphins football coach Don Shula has lived in this white house with his wife for more than 20 years. Like most properties on Indian Creek Drive, it has a private boat dock.

Financier Charles Johnson sold his 5-bedroom behemoth for $30 million to an undisclosed buyer in February 2015 after it sat for several years on the market. The home has a wine cellar, movie theater, and 4-car garage.

Supermodel Adriana Lima and her now-ex-husband, basketball player Marko Jaric bought this pad for $9 million back in 2009. Built in the 1950s, it looks like one of the more modest homes on the island.

Billionaire Carl Icahn bought this 14,000-square-foot vacation house out of foreclosure for $7.5 million back in 1997.

Real estate mogul Jeffrey Soffer and his wife, supermodel Elle MacPherson, live in a 29,270-square-foot estate with nine bedrooms. Soffer's sister and business partner Jackie lives next door.

Real estate entrepreneur Alex Meruelo is selling his 6-bedroom home right by the 91st Street Bridge for $19.8 million. He reportedly bought it for just over $7 million in 2008.

University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino and his wife also have a home near the bridge. They bought it for a reported $5.4 million in 1999.

Dutch businessman Geert-Jan Bakker owns the second to last home on Indian Creek Drive. He bought it for $9.3 million in 2010 from Jay-Z and Beyonce.

Thinking of dropping by for a visit? Don't bother, unless you've been invited. This bridge is the only way onto the island, and it's guarded.
