Ford delayed its sales report due to a fire at its headquarters

Reuters reports that the fire at Ford's Dearborn, Michigan headquarters did not injure anyone but resulted in 1,500 employees leaving the building for the day.
Ford wrote in a statement that the fire occurred at an electrical substation that interrupted power to one of the company's main data centers used to report and track sales. The data center shut down for most of Monday and prevented dealers from reporting final-day sales.
Ford said it will announce its October sales numbers later this week. The company's monthly sales conference call for media and analysts will then resume for the November sales report on December 1.
