Here come Case-Shiller home prices ...
The S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Index for March will be released at 9 a.m. ET.
Economists forecast that prices in 20 major cities rose 0.75% month-on-month, according to Bloomberg. Compared to last year, they forecast a 5.11% rise. Both would be declines from February.
David Blitzer, chairman of the S&P Dow Jones index committee, wrote last month that the previous report hinted at a slowdown in the pace of price growth.
"I think the rate of home price increases has to either level off and drop back to 1 or 2 percent, or it will be a bit of excess," he told Business Insider in an interview last week.
