Markit Economics will release its final services survey for August at 9:45 a.m.

Consensus is for a reading of 58.5, unchanged from a prior reading of 58.5.

Then at 10 a.m. we get ISM non-manufacturing data. Consensus is for a reading of 57.7, down from 58.8.

Earlier we learned ADP payrolls unexpectedly fell to 204,000 from 212,000 in August, and that jobless claims climbed to 302,000 from 298,000, and unit labor costs unexpectedly fell 0.1% in Q2 after rising 0.6% in Q1.
