Here come the Fed Minutes ...
The Minutes give us insight into the discussions and deliberations the Fed had during its latest FOMC meeting. The Fed's policy statement that followed that meeting showed that the FOMC decided to remove the word "patient" in describing how it would approach its first interest rate hike since July 2006.
Along with its latest policy statement, the Fed also released an updated Summary of Economic Projections, which saw the Fed downgrade its growth outlook for the US and lower its view on the central tendency for long-term unemployment.
The Minutes are usually chock full of interesting details and give a great window into the Fed's thinking.
We'll be back with full coverage when the Minutes drop.
