Hiring in pharma sector will go up 20% in 2016. Here are the skills you will require

A joint report by PeopleStrong, Wheetbox, CII and LinkedIn revealed that the pharma and health sector will see an increase in hiring by 20% as compared to 7.2% in 2015.
The India Skills Report 2016 stated that the pharma andhealthcare sector , which presently employs around 5.5 lakh people, will create 1, 34, 000 jobs in 2016.
The report also placed the Indian pharma industry in top 10 global markets in value terms by 2020.
So what will be the key skills that the pharma sector will be looking for this year?
The employers will prefer hiring freshers (33.6%). People with five years of work experience having skilled domain expertise in the age group of 22-25 years will see an up in hiring by 32%.
The need of skilled manpower in the pharmaceutical industry ranges widely from R&D, Quality Assurance (QA), Intellectual Property (IP), manufacturing to even sales and marketing.
The sector still prefers to look for candidates through job portals (25%) & HR consultants (18.75%).
Also, the maximum hiring in this sector will be seen from Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
