COVID-19 lockdown extended in Puducherry till April 30
The extension was in line with the decision ofneighbouring Tamil Nadu to contain the spread of theinfection, Chief Minister V Narayanasamy told .
He also said certain relaxations would be made forsectors such as fishery.
Puducherry has six active cases of coronavirus and allare undergoing treatment at a government hospital here.
Narayanasamy had on Sunday said he was waiting forguidelines from Prime Minister Narendra Modi on extension ofthe lockdown, a similar line initially adopted by Tamil Nadugovernment also.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami on Mondayannounced extension of the lockdown in the state till April 30in line with states like Odisha and Telangana and said themove was in accordance with the recommendations of medical andpublic health experts. CorVS VS
