Indians started the New year by googling for ‘hangover cure’ on January 1st

  • As Indians woke up from New Year parties, Google search for ‘hangover cure’ peaked.
  • The most interest coming in from the party destination of the country – Goa.
  • It was followed by the most searches from Delhi, Haryana, Karnataka and Maharashtra.

New year’s eve is synonymous to epic parties which are never complete without alcohol. People buy bottles of the finest liquor and parties go on till wee hours of the morning.

So it’s not surprising that on the morning of the first day of the New Year, Indians woke up with an urgent need to fix a hangover.

On January 1st, between 10.30 am and 11.30 am, “hangover cure” peaked in Google search trends.


And most of this interest came from the party destination of the country – Goa.

It was followed by Delhi, Haryana, Karnataka and Maharashtra.

According to Google Trends, the most common searches were – “how to cure hangover”, “hangover headache cure”, “hangover cure drink” among others.
