Rajasthan extends lockdown till June 30 — allows public buses and offices to operate adhering to "do gaz ki doori"

  • Rajasthan state government has issued the revised guidelines for the lockdown 5.0 with several relaxations in the non-containment zones.
  • The news came a day after the central government extended lockdown in containment zones till the end of June.
  • As per the state orders, night curfew will continue in Rajasthan from 9 pm to 5 am till June 30.

On May 31, Rajasthan extended the lockdown till June 30. The state government has issued the revised guidelines for the lockdown 5.0 with several relaxations in the non-containment zones.

The news came a day after the central government extended lockdown in containment zones till the end of June. The centre also announced that the state governments could consider relaxations based on the ground of central guidelines for non-containment zones.

  • As per the state orders, night curfew will continue in Rajasthan from 9 pm to 5 am till June 30.
  • All government offices will function with full strength. In contrast, all places of worship, hotels, restaurants, clubs (excluding sports facilities), and other hospitality services and eating places (except home delivery and takeaway, that already remain permitted) will remain closed in Rajasthan till further orders.
  • All schools, colleges, educational/training and coaching institutions will remain closed.
  • A blanket ban continues on all international air travel, except for purposes as permitted by the Ministry of Home Affairs as well as Metro rail services are being included under prohibited activities.
  • The order stated that all gymnasiums, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres, bars, auditoriums, assembly halls and similar places should remain closed while no social/ political/sports/ entertainment/academic/cultural/religious functions and other large congregations will be allowed.
  • The government also decided to open up inter-state travel and no passes will be required for such travel.
  • It is compulsory to wear face cover in all public and workplaces and public transport.
  • Spitting in public and at workplaces is prohibited. A minimum 6 feet distance - "do gaz ki doori" shall be followed by all persons in public places, the orders said adding that consumption of liquor, paan, gutka, tobacco etc. in public places remains strictly prohibited.
