Jordan Spieth is one of the best golfers on the planet right now, but there was one opponent he recently faced he wasn't able to get the better of - former President Barack Obama.
While appearing on "The Late Late Show with James Cordon," Spieth discussed his recent round with the president, and acknowledged that Obama was able to beat him in dramatic fashion on the putting green.
As Spieth tells it, it all came down to the final putt:
"We had a two-on-two match, it came down to the last hole. And the President had a 10-foot double-breaking putt - this is my home course and I've never seen anybody make the putt. And a small crowd had gathered like you'd expect. He kind of said, 'When there's a crowd on the last hole, I never miss.' He steps up and knocks it in - perfect speed, right in the middle of the hole."
Even though he lost, it's still a round Spieth will likely have fond memories of, having also gotten a great joke out of the president at an earlier hole on the course.
