Judd Apatow blasts Bill Cosby: 'I absolutely would like to see him in jail'

On Monday, Apatow took to Twitter to denounce Cosby again after an article from the Associated Press revealed documents from a 2005 deposition wherein Cosby admitted to obtaining Quaaludes with the intention of "giving them to young women he wanted to have sex with."
It's a very sad situation. Now can we all stand up and support the victims? Will silence continue? https://t.co/0tfYB5rb7p

Later that day, in an interview with Esquire magazine, Apatow elaborated on the issue and also called on the comedian's wife, Camille Cosby, and his former "Cosby Show" co-star Phylicia Rashad to speak out against Cosby and voice support for the many victims who have come forth.
"I don't think there is anything new here," Apatow said. "It is only new to people who didn't believe an enormous amount of women who stated clearly that he drugged them. We shouldn't need Bill Cosby to admit it to believe forty people who were victimized by him."
He continued: "I am sure there are many victims who have not come forward. Maybe now more people in show business and all around our country will stand up and tell the people he attacked that we support you and believe you. I also hope Camille Cosby and Phylicia Rashad will now stand with the victims and not with their attacker."

Rashad would later clarify her comments in an interview with ABC News, where she still voiced her support of Cosby, stating "What has happened is declaration in the media of guilt, without proof."
Well, now that there's proof, Judd Apatow and Cosby's many accusers are hoping that enough evidence will mount in the coming months to put Cosby behind bars.
"This guy pulled it off in such a way that he's not accountable for it," Apatow said in another Esquire profile from earlier this year. "He's a serial rapist. Everyone knows this is true."
"I absolutely would like to see him in jail," Apatow added on Marc Maron's WTF Podcast in June. "That's where people who commit sexual assaults go."
