LIVE: NBA Commissioner Adam Silver Is About To Make An Announcement On The Donald Sterling Scandal

NBA commissioner Adam Silver is about to give a press conference about Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling.

It starts at 2 p.m. eastern time.

He is expected to announce the results of the league's investigation into Sterling allegedly making racist comments to his girlfriend on tape, as well as a punishment. The consensus is that the league will hand him an indefinite suspension and a seven-figure fine.

There's also a chance Silver could employ the "nuclear option" - effectively forcing Sterling to sell the team by calling on the Board of Governors to terminate his ownership.
