Lok Sabha Elections 2019 candidate list for Nagaland

Sharingain Longkumer of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) is in direct contest with Alemjongshi Longkumer, an independent candidate in Nagaland. Earlier, two other people had filed their nominations to fight in the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections from the state. O. Tinujungshi Longkumer, the candidate of the National People’s Party went ‘missing’ two days back and later rolled back his nomination for the Aonglenden Assembly seat. Following him, Toshipokba Longkumer of the Opposition Naga People’s Front also cancelled his nomination. After doing so, both these candidates said the public that they will support the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP). Notably, the NDPP and BJP are seen as partners in Nagaland’s People’s Democratic Alliance government.
