Net Direct Tax Collection Stands At Rs 2.60 Lakh Crore So Far

Net direct tax collection in the current financial year stands at Rs 2.60 lakh crore till now, a senior Finance Ministry official said.

The gross direct tax collection till September 26 was at Rs 3.37 lakh crore. The share of corporate tax was Rs 1.55 lakh crore and personal income tax collection stood at 1.01 lakh crore.

The government aims to raise Rs 7.36 lakh crore from direct taxes in FY2014-15, which is Rs one lakh crore more what was collected last financial year.
