Now get discount in Spicejet when flying without cabin baggage

Now when you fly with Spicejet and don’t carry heavy luggage for check in, you are entitled of a discount of Rs 200. Mind it, this discount is applicable while booking ticket and if you reach the airport with cabin baggage you will have to pay Rs 400 as extra baggage charge.The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has finally approved of Spicejet’s strategy of luring more passengers. While Spicejet wanted to charge Rs 750 as extra fee for the passengers who opted for the discount, DGCA refused to give a nod.
This scheme by Spicejet is set to attract large number corporate travellers, who generally travel with just a cabin baggage.
The Sun Group owned low cost carrier have suffered brunts of loss only a few months back and was almost on the verge of shutting off. Eventually promoter Ajay Singh had intervened and pumped in money to keep the airlines afloat.
Spicejet has been trying to attract passengers from various segments to earn more revenue.
