PHOTOS: The Queen's visit to Waitrose and a local pub in Dorset after unveiling a statue of the Queen Mother
The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Charles, and the Duchess of Cornwall visited the Prince of Wales' model town Poundbury for the event, which revealed artist Philip Jackson's statue in the village's newly created Queen Mother Square.
It is identical to a statue in London, which sits next to a second sculpture of King George VI.
She took time to browse the specialty cheese aisle in the store, before meeting local producers.
Poundbury is an experimental new town on the outskirts of Dorchester championed by Prince Charles and built on land owned by the Duchy of Cornwall.
The Prince first designed the village after outlining a plan for it in his book, "A Vision of Britain."
Later, the Royal party opened Poundbury's newest business, The Duchess of Cornwall pub.
