The current Union Minister of State for the Ministry of Power, Jyotiraditya Madhavrao Scindia is the son of late Shri Madhav Rao Jivajirao Scindia, the titular Maharaja of Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The Scindias have been the rulers of Gwalior from as early as the latter half of the 18th century and George Jivajirao Scindia, Jyotiraditya’s grandfather was the last reigning Maharaja.
