According to Restaurant Business, Wendy's same-store sales rose 7% in the company's third quarter, with the chain's new breakfast rollout accounting for 7% of all sales.
"In the face of the pandemic, with mobility being down, we're very happy with how our breakfast business has been performing," Wendy's CEO Todd Penegor said during a third quarter earnings call. "We're feeling very bullish on the future of breakfast."
