Costco CFO Richard Galanti highlighted the big sale during the call on Thursday.

"During the second quarter, we successfully launched both our Japan e-commerce site in December and our Australia e-commerce site this past month in February. And not to be outdone, we recently sold another high-value large carat diamond for a little over $600,000," he said, adding: "if anyone is interested, please give me a call."

The news of this mega purchase comes almost a year after it reported that a Costco member had spent $400,000 on a diamond engagement ring at the warehouse chain.

At the time, Galanti didn't provide any detail on where or when the item was purchased or exactly which ring it was.

There are currently 354 diamond rings listed on Costco's online site, which anywhere from $249.99 up to $365,000 for a 7.45-carat diamond platinum solitaire ring.

These high-ticket items are casually displayed alongside bags of bulk food and consumer staples, proving that Costco has cracked the code of being a one-stop-shop for all.

The company reported a 7.9% increase in same-store sales for its most recent quarter on Thursday and has continued to be one of retail's brightest spots.

The store keeps its members loyal by offering the best deals on products and keeping these consistent.
