Sachin Tendulkar sues Australian company Spartan for a missed payment of $2 million

Sachin Tendulkar is suing Australian company Spartan Sports International for not paying him $2 million in royalties.

Spartan produces sports goods like cricket bats and had signed a deal with Tendulkar to use his image to promote their products.

According to reports, Tendulkar and Spartan had signed a deal in 2016, for which the retired cricketer had also attended promotional events. The Federal court papers were reviewed by Reuters which stated that the company had used Tendulkar’s image and name to sell products with the tag “Sachin by Spartan”.

Tendulkar, who is also called as the God of Cricket, has always hit the ball out of the park when it comes to endorsements. He is associated with brands like Adidas, BMW, MRF, DBS Bank, GM Pens, Luminous Fans, Quaker, Smartron and Sony Ten.

According to reports, he is the third-highest paid sports brand ambassador in India after Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni.

Sachin Tendulkar has also invested in several companies like Musafir, Smaaash, Collectabilia.
