How many coronavirus vaccine doses each US state will get to start

Three vaccines for COVID-19 - from Moderna, Pfizer, and AstraZeneca - have shown positive results in trials, and could soon be distributed throughout the United States.
Most states have announced how many doses they expect to receive in the first batch once a vaccine is approved. Here's what each state has said so far:
- Alabama will initially receive 40,950 vaccine doses, fewer than the original promise of 112,000 doses, according to the state department of health.
- Alaska will get 34,000 vaccine doses to being, likely some from Moderna and some from Pfizer.
- Arkansas will get 45,000 to 90,000 doses, according Arkansas Secretary of Health Dr. Jose Romero.
- California will receive 327,000 initial doses in "mid December," according to Gov. Gavin Newsom.
- Colorado is set to get 46,800 doses of the Pfizer vaccine.
- Connecticut will receive 20,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine as early as December 14.
- Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said that the state will receive one to two million vaccine doses in the middle of December.
- Idaho expects to start out with 13,650 doses of the Pfizer vaccine.
- Illinois will get 109,000 of the Pfizer vaccine.
- Iowa officials expect 172,000 initial doses.
- Kansas will likely receive 23,750 doses.
- Kentucky will get 12,675 doses.
- Louisiana is set to get 40,000 initial doses.
- Maine will get 12,675 doses of the Pfizer vaccine.
- Maryland is planning for 155,000 doses in the first round.
- Massachussetts will get 60,000 doses initially, according to Gov. Charlie Baker.
- Minnesota will start out with 24,000 doses.
- Mississippi will get 20,000 vaccine doses, according to the state health officer.
- Missouri expects 51,000 doses.

- Nebraska will get 15,600 Pfizer doses in the first round, according to Gov. Pete Ricketts.
- Nevada will receive 164,000 doses in the first round.
- New Hampshire expects between 10,000 and 15,000, according to Gov. Chris Sununu.
- New Jersey expects 76,000 doses by the end of the year, according to state health commissioner Judith Persichilli.
- New Mexico will get 17,500 initial doses of the Pfizer vaccine.

- North Carolina will get 85,000 doses

- Oklahoma will start out with 30,000 Pfizer vaccine doses.
- In Oregon, officials are planning on receiving 147,000 initial doses.
- Rhode Island expects 29,000 doses.
- South Dakota will get a first shipment of 7,800 doses.
- Tennessee will start out with 56,000 vaccine doses.
- An initial allotment of 1.4 million vaccine doses should start arriving in Texas during the week of December 14, Gov. Greg Abbot said.

Pfizer has applied for emergency authorized use with the US Food and Drug Administration, and could be cleared as early as December 10. Some state governments are announcing plans to receive doses even sooner, and those not listed haven't yet said publicly how many doses of a vaccine they expect or when.
Operation Warp Speed, the government program to develop and deliver vaccines, will distribute 6.4 million doses in the first batch, which will be allocated to states based on population, NPR reported. Many states haven't yet addressed when they will get the first doses, but those that have expect them in mid-December.
